For students who were refreshing the site all week, here's the line. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results for its Class 12 board examinations today, May 18, 2026.

The overall pass percentage is impressive. More than 92% of students passed this year. Girls once again achieved higher scores than their male counterparts. This trend continues from previous years.

Accessing Your Mark Sheets

Students can now access their detailed mark sheets. These are available on the official CBSE portals. Make sure to use the correct roll number and school code.

Checking your results online is the first step. Save a copy of your provisional mark sheet. This will be useful for university admissions or future applications.

What Happens Next?

With results out, many students will look towards higher education. This means applying to colleges or preparing for entrance exams.

Some students might have concerns about their scores. Boards often provide an option for re-evaluation. This is when exam papers are checked again for any errors. The Maharashtra State Board recently opened its re-evaluation window for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam papers, for example. CBSE will announce its own schedule for this soon, if applicable.

Meanwhile, physical mark sheets and passing certificates are also on their way. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has started distributing documents for its ICSE and ISC exams. CBSE will follow a similar process for its students through affiliated schools.
